Yes bank jobs are boring and also with lots of work pressure, targets in various fields like recovery, deposit, advances, new govt schemes etc.. even senior bank officers feel bored and distressed bt they have no other option but to work.

Not only banking job, every job is boring to those who are in. It's like when you go to hotel you order pizza/dosa and person next to your table order burger/chola batora, once both get the food on table, pizza/dosa guy think as I would have order that one instead of this. Same feeling in other table also.

The bottom line is that boring banking is safer, and boring banking goes hand in hand with stricter regulations that would disallow hedges on hedges and mandate that banks use excess cash on hand to invest in government securities or set up subsidiaries that have higher capital requirements, ultimately separating capital markets and investment banking from the vanilla banking (read: lending) arm of a bank.

Again, if you're worried that a job in finance is going to literally turn out to be one in which you do exactly the same thing every single day without variation, and in which "anyone could do that", look at the amount the job pays and ask yourself if any sensible employer would pay that kind of money for someone to just sit there doing the same repetitive action over and over again.
