Every day, I have been getting disconnected from the internet (wireless connection) exactly every hour. For example, I'll get disconnected at 2:00 PM and then the next disconnect will happen at 3:00 PM, or if the first disconnect happens at 5:57 AM, the next one will happen at 6:57 AM, etc. Some days, it won't happen at all. This is only happening for my computer, there are many other people in my house on the same router using the wireless internet that do not get disconnected like I do ...
The switch happens regularly as it seems when lost packets threshold is reached per hour or 15 minute frame or whatever, checkout quality of service QoS on your router and possibly disable it or...
Exactly 2:33pm every day. Since I work from home I have had to get my schedule re-arranged. same problem, losing att internet service at about 9:30pm ET every night, starting happening about 1 week ago, out for almost exactly 5 mins each time. AT&T came out and replaced the gateway which solved the problem for me.
Run your computer with that driver. If that does not work for you, check with your motherboard or network card manufacturer to check if there is any updates for your network card. It does not sound as if you have a router, but if you do check what the lease time is. It could be that lease is set for an hour and that is causing your problem.

Your internet speed is too slow Your connection will drop in and out if you have too many devices accessing the internet simultaneously. This is especially likely when you live with multiple people and everybody’s on the internet at the same time.
Why is my WiFi disconnecting every few minutes? The issue is usually caused by one of the three things – the old driver for your wireless card, outdated firmware version on your router (basically the driver for the router) or settings on your router. Problems at the ISP end may sometimes also be the cause of the issue.
My internet would go out for a solid hour at a time, although at seemingly random intervals. I finally figured out that every time I did laundry, my internet cut out. From there I discovered that any household item I used that had a motor (washing machine, treadmill, kitchen mixer) would effectively knock out my Internet (AT&T U-Verse). I tried a variety of things to test/fix it - making sure they weren't on the same breaker, running an extension cord for my u-verse router to a different ...
@BazFis the issue is in your home your phone is out of range of your hub's wifi signal, which does not go into the low power mode as it is only the TV box's Wifi hotspots that are affected. That is relatively rare as most people's phones might show slower wifi at night as they connect to the more distant hub seamlessly.
Why does my network connection drop every so often? There are many possible reasons so I’ll focus a common one: confused network auto-speed detection. Most contemporary network cards, hubs, and routers attempt to automatically determine the speed of each network connection. Sometimes they get it wrong.
