One thing that may hold a clue is that when I connect the laptop to the local network via ethernet (rather than wireless), there is no issue - no Network Credentials prompt. It's only when I use a wireless connection via my cable router (which also hosts the ethernet ports the other two PCs are connected to) that the problem happens.

The 'Enter Network Credentials' screen appears because you cannot access shared resources on the network without entering a username and password. These are required to protect users' personal privacy, and so password-protected sharing over network locations is enabled by default.

The problem you can't enter network credentials on Windows 10 may result from the fact that some sharing settings are not enabled on your PC. So let’s do a simple check before taking further steps. 1. Type Network and Sharing Center in the search box to view your network information and connection settings. 2.

Short passwords consisting of common names or words can be broken in seconds by an experienced hacker with the right tools (and virtually ALL miscreants have the right tools because they are readily available on the Internet). 3 – Change the name of your WiFi network (some routers use the term ‘SSID’ instead of ‘network name’).

Very few systems will show you your password any more. Not just Netflix, but any of them. This is for two main reasons :- Firstly because almost all of them use what is called “hashing” - it basically encrypts your password using a one way system, so that it doesn’t actually know your password any more.

If you have no way to login other network computers because there is no username and password, such as login Windows 10 with PIN code, try to stop using PIN code provisionally and then try again to access the network credentials. Way 4. Check if your IP address are properly assigned

I double checked my password on my laptop and I entered everything correctly, it just didn't connect. Even though my phone detects my home network, I tried manually adding in my home network through the "other" button and that still didn't work either. One thing though is that my phone detects my home network as WEP secured but my laptop says WPA2.

Give it a couple of minutes to connect and hopefully this solved your problem or try changing the WiFi security on your router setting from (WPA/WPA2) to WEP. Go back to the Smart TV and reconnect to your network with your selected security key.
